About Jason Ellis, LMFT, WFR, ANFT

Jason is the clinical director of The Rosemary Tree providing mental health services in Phoenix AZ.

Jason is a passionate guide who can walk with you towards freedom, joy, clarification and health. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, executive coach/guide, and creator of a variety of intensive style healing journeys. He get’s excited to invite others into a process of discovering their own beautiful next.

He believes in a holistic, creative, personalized approach and values including nature in the healing process as the more than human world brings a different type of connection for all of us. He’s happy to sit on a paddleboard in the pool for a session, go for a walk, hit a trail for a sunset session, engage in a breathing session, or listen to your favorite song.

He works with all ages- individuals and couples, but specializes in adolescents and their families.

Finding a new food spot, or better yet, the best new sugar treat drives him on the daily. He doesn’t understand all the new lingo, but isn’t afraid to use it, even incorrectly - No Cap.

About Claire Atenian, LMFT

Claire is a licensed marriage and family therapist providing mental health counseling in Phoenix AZ.

With 10+ years of experience she has specialized training in working with couples and individuals experiencing betrayal and/or loss of trust in relationships. She also specializes in complex trauma, attachment injuries, and issues related to shame. She believes that healing can only happen with there is a change in the system, the practice of responding to pain differently.

She sees adults, couples, and families using a variety of client centered therapies focusing on regulating the nervous system to learn new ways of relating to self and other. Narrative therapy, attachment theories, Internal family systems, and sensorimotor. Claire is trained in sexual addition recovery, EMDR, and betrayal trauma.

In her free time Claire is parenting, thrifting, or hiking with her husband.

About Michelle Ellis, LMFT

Michelle is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing mental health counseling in Phoenix AZ. She specializes in individuals, families/couples, and children. She addresses topics such a trauma, identity, relationships, parenting, spiritual trauma and spiritual journey and experienced working with symptoms such as family conflict, post-traumatic stress responses, loss of trust in self/others, attachment, and shame.

Michelle incorporates modalities such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), sensorimotor, restoration therapy (RT) into her practice.

She believes in looking at the whole person and their world around them. There is always another way to see things. She loves exploring perspectives and the stories we hold.

She likes learning, being outside, animals, (but not scorpions), a good mug of tea or coffee, being with her family, and laying on the floor with her dog.

About Danielle Remington, LAC

Danielle is a Licensed Associate Counselor providing mental health counseling in Phoenix AZ. She works with individuals of all ages addressing topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, and parenting. She also specializes in working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental differences, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Specific Learning Disabilities. 

She has a Humanistic and strength-based approach to counseling while utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and art experiential activities to help individuals identify and process their thoughts, experiences, and emotions surrounding a variety of topics to produce positive change. Danielle enjoys exploring nature, playing instruments, and painting. She believes being good at a hobby is marked by the joy it adds to your life rather than how well it is completed.

About Rachael Plyler, LAMFT

Rachael is dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life's many challenges. She specializes in working with complex trauma and issues related to self esteem/self worth, attachment-related issues, religious trauma, and couples who are getting stuck and wanting to work through conflict and re-connect. She also enjoys working with adolescents and their families. Rachael's belief in each person's innate goodness and worth drives her work. She is passionate about helping people connect to themselves, others, and the world around them in more fulfilling ways.

Attachment and Trauma-informed, Systems-based, Culturally sensitive, and Person-centered. Rachael is committed to providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for your personal growth and healing. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Rachael loves experiencing life with friends and family-trying all kinds of foods, exploring new places, live music, and being challenged to keep learning and growing.

About Danielle Heyer, Intern

Danielle is an intern in the Licensed Professional Counseling program at Ottawa University, with a focus on Expressive Art Therapy. She is deeply committed to supporting individuals of all ages—children, teens, and adults—in a compassionate, creative, and holistic way. Danielle believes in the power of art and creativity to help people express themselves and heal, and she tailors her approach to each person’s unique needs.

Drawing from a blend of therapeutic practices, Danielle incorporates Expressive Art Therapy, along with techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sensorimotor Therapy, and Attachment Therapy. Her goal is to help clients build emotional resilience, improve communication, and work through challenges like anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions.

When she’s not working with clients, Danielle enjoys spending time outdoors rock climbing and hiking, engaging in her own art, hanging with her dog and community, and reading a good book.

About Haley Junkermann, Intern

As an intern in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Fuller Theological Seminary, Haley is deeply committed to a holistic approach in therapy. Her practice emphasizes the importance of understanding the systems in which individuals operate and the ways these systems influence their well-being.

She has a particular focus on working with individuals (children, teens and adults) and couples who have experienced trauma. Her therapeutic approach incorporates modalities such as Attachment Therapy, Restoration Therapy, Sensorimotor Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients in a comprehensive and empathetic manner.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoy taking her dog to the park when the weather is favorable, sewing, exploring nature, and going for walks. These activities help her maintain balance and bring a grounded perspective to her practice.

About Sophie Kramer, LAC-T

In her work as a therapist Sophie prefers to utilize experiential and expressive modalities with clients. She incorporates pieces from DBT and person centered therapy techniques into practice. Most importantly, she wants her clients to feel safe in a compassionate space and to feel seen, supported, and empowered on their journey to embodiment and wellness.

When she's not working, you can find her exploring nature, enjoying art, hiking, or catching up on a good book at a local coffee shop.

Sophie’s loyal companion is Arrow, a super calm and content rescue dog trained as both a service animal and therapy dog. Though he prefers a more laid-back pace, Arrow is always by Sophie’s side, bringing comfort and companionship wherever they go.

About Nicole Dunn, Intern

Nicole is currently a graduate student at Grand Canyon University. She is committed to fostering a nurturing and safe environment for individuals and families to explore their emotions and experiences. She has over ten years of experience in the behavioral health field, focusing on children with Intellectual Developmental Disorders in both clinic and school settings.

She understands that each person is unique and aims to provide personalized support tailored to individual needs. Her approach emphasizes empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard, ensuring that everyone feels respected and understood throughout their journey.

Using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, Nicole empowers individuals to address their challenges and recognize their strengths. She is also passionate about holistic health, emphasizing the importance of exercise and nutrition in promoting mental well-being. Nicole has a passion for helping people who are dealing with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys going on long walks with her fiance, reading and relaxing with her two cats, and trying out a new coffee shop or restaurant.
