Join our Expressive Art Group for Adults
When’s the last time you got to be creative? When’s the last time you got to get a bit messy
(and have someone else clean it up), make some mistakes, and learn something about yourself?
Expressive Art Therapy is an avenue for you to explore your inner world in a unique way, and in a group, do so with the support of others around you. Many of us have become accustomed to navigate our day to day by focusing on getting the next task done and haven’t gotten the chance to consider what might be going on within us. We may notice we are feeling a bit anxious, or overwhelmed, and are struggling to connect with others, but we don’t know what to do next.
In this group, we will integrate evidence-based practices to explore your personal values and how that can influence how you live. We’ll get to know the emotions we experience, engage in mindfulness practices, and develop supportive coping strategies. We’ll use different mediums like drawing, paint, or clay to foster self-connection, empathy, and healthy relationships, and alongside the guidance of a therapist. reflect together as a group to gain deeper insight and support in our journey.
No prior art experience is needed, all are welcome!
